MARKS & Spencer is launching a dupe of Australia’s favourite cake in just days.
The sweet treat will cost just £4 and the supermarket says it is the first to sell the snack in Britain.

M&S says that it will be introducing the Lamington cake to its stores,
The delicious dessert is a square of sponge cake, slathered in chocolate icing and drenched in coconut.
According to legend, the cake became an Australian classic in 1901 when Lord Lamington dropped a sponge cake into some melted chocolate by accident.
Instead of wasting the cake, Lord Lamington – the governor of Queensland – chose to sprinkle desiccated coconut on the snack – creating the now beloved cake.

M&S has confirmed that it will be introducing two versions of the Australian delicacy.
The first version is a “classic” Chocolate and Coconut flavour, which will be decorated with hand-piped buttercream and salted caramel sauce.
The second version is a Caramelised Biscuit variety which went viral on social media, after it was launched in Woolworths in Australia last month.
Both desserts will cost just £4 for a pack of two and will be baked in Britain.
Ahead of the launch, Alice Birch, product developer for bakery treats at M&S Food, said that the supermarket will be the first to bring the cake to the UK.
Alice said: “Lamingtons are definitely the most iconic cake from down under and it’s very exciting to be the first to bring our version of this beloved Aussie classic to the UK high street.
“Ours are extra special – they’re hand-finished with toppings and super indulgent thanks to the rich chocolate sponge and chocolate sauce coating.
“We’ve also got a trendy caramelised biscuit variant that we’re confident shoppers will be going wild for on social media.”
The cakes, which go on sale from Wednesday, are also available on Ocado.
The news comes after the supermarket went viral for selling “beautiful transitional” fashion items.
M&S has started selling trendy barrel jeans for just £39.50, which can be paired with a classic jacket – costing £40.
A TikToker – whose account name is “@amytowne13” – shared a video showing off the amazing collection on social media.
The supermarket is also selling £70 faux leather jacket, which is perfect for the incoming autumnal weather.
Fans flooded the comments, with one writing: “M&S just smashing it at the moment.”
Another added: “Oh that beautiful suede bomber.”
