I’m a mum-of-two and my kids are three months apart in age – everyone’s always so confused when I tell them

A MUM-OF-TWO has left people baffled after revealing her kids are just three months apart in age.

Chloe explained the situation in pictures on her TikTok page, as she wrote over the top of a snap of her in scrubs holding a baby: “One minute I’m holding my newborn”.

She then showed herself holding a newborn and a slightly older baby, as she added: “The next I’m holding my three month old and newborn”.

The last picture showed the two girls as two-year-olds, “holding each other”.

The comments section on the TikTok was immediately filled with people questioning how the two kids had just three months between them – considering a pregnancy is nine months’ long.

“How is this possible??” one wrote.

“Irish twins!” another added, referring to the name commonly given to two siblings close in age.

“Saying ‘Irish twins’ doesn’t explain the situation,” someone else hit back.

“It is impossible for one woman to have a 3 month old child that she gave birth to AND a newborn that she also gave birth to hence the question and confusion.”

“I’m so confused lol,” another admitted.

“How can they be only 3 months apart?” someone else said.

To which Chloe replied: “Me and my partner carried at the same time”.

“Ooh finally makes sense! My brain was cooked,” another said.

“Amazing. Big congrats. Go girls what a way to do it,” someone else commented.

“Sorry, but… not possible?” another added.

“Same donor….. but one looks like me the other looks like my partner,” Chloe responded.

Another asked if the girls were “genetically half siblings or full siblings”.

To which Chloe said they are “genetically half”.

Can I use shop-bought jars and pouches to feed my baby or toddler?

ACCORDING to the NHS website: “If you are using food pouches, jars, trays and pots, they should only by used occasionally. They should not be used as an everyday food.”

  • Wait until your baby is around 6 months old before feeding them solid foods – even if labels say it’s suitable from 4 months
  • Check food labels and choose the food with the least amount of sugar
  • Always squeeze the contents from pouches onto a spoon to feed your baby
  • Do not rely on food pouches, jars, pots and trays as everyday food
  • Do not let your baby suck food from the pouch – this can increase their risk of tooth decay
  • Do not feed your baby snacks until they are 12 months old

And when someone else questioned if they call the girls twins, Chloe wrote: “For some people it’s easier to say they’re twins!”

“The first baby her partner birthed, the second baby she birthed,” another clarified.

“It’s a female-female relationship so they both carried their children and birthed them 3 months apart.”

“Hats off to you both, must have been so difficult in those early weeks recovering physically with little sleep and discovering parenthood,” someone else praised.

“But amazing now to have your two wee besties!”
