GHISLAINE Maxwell has claimed Prince Andrew didn’t have sex with Virginia Giuffre, according to a newly released transcript.
Epstein’s convicted accomplice made her comments to US Justice Department officials during a two-day interview last month.
Maxwell was questioned by Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche in Tallahassee, Florida.
Her claims have come to light after transcripts and audio files were released today.
Blanche asked the inmate, who is currently serving a 20-year sentence after being found guilty of child sex trafficking, what she thought, saw or heard regarding claims surrounding Virginia Giuffre.
While the name had been redacted, it is circumstantially highly likely to be Giuffre given the context of their conversation – including accurate timelines, and discussion of an infamous photograph.
Andrew has denied any wrongdoing and has denied allegations made against him.
Ghislaine was asked by Mr Blanche whether the disgraced duke had sex with the redacted person at the socialite’s London house in 2001.
Maxwell said: “What’s an even bigger word than bulls**t?”
The Deputy Attorney General pressed: “Okay. Why? Why do you think that?”
Maxwell responded: “I’m going to tell you right now. I’m so happy to tell you. I’m like excited. I’m beyond excited.
“So there’s been a mixture of what I’ve actually seen and know from the evidence versus what I’ve put together.
“It is impossible for me at this point to separate everything, but I’ll tell you what I know versus what I saw and what I physically have in here, but it’s helpful for you to know.
“The allegation, I have to go with the allegation. The allegation was that at my house in London, in March, whatever that was, 2001 I believe, we went to London, especially so that [redacted] could have a — or could have a relationship with Prince Andrew and she was paid a vast amount of money for that purpose.
“And that she then got in the — in my bathroom in my house in London and had sex, sexual relations with him and then went into my guest room and had full blown sex and then left my house, or he left, and she felt used and disgusting.
“And a photograph was taken of them just before all these events took place in my study. That is what is the story.
“Oh, and then after that she met him several other times. But we’ll come to that.”
Maxwell said she thought the allegations could not have “logistically and physically” happened.
David Markus said: “Do you think there’s any way it could have happened or not?”
She responded: “Absolutely not, absolutely not.
“The issue is, could Andrew have come to the house to see me or see Epstein, and say ‘hi’ and she had been there? Yes.
“I can’t say that that didn’t happen. But what I can absolutely, categorically say is that I never, at any time, set Andrew up to have relations with her or any other human being ever.
“And I can categorically state that her characterization of whatever may or may not have happened, could — physically would just no.”
Maxwell also claimed an infamous photograph was “fake”.
Epstein’s convicted accomplice alleged Epstein had never met Prince Andrew in the 1990s, but the pair were introduced in the early 2000s.
“I would never have introduced them. It would never have occurred to me to introduce them. I couldn’t imagine them being friends. Two chalk and cheeses… there’s nothing there to connect them,” she explained.
“He met Prince Andrew and then he had a really good relationship. I don’t like that word, it sounds clunky. They had a friendship.”
Maxwell claimed their bond made her feel “left out”, “disrespected” and “p*ssed off” at first, but they later became good pals.
“I really liked him a lot and we just became really, really good friends,” she added.
Virginia alleged Epstein and Maxwell trafficked her to the Duke of York when she was 17 – a claim Andrew has denied.
The mum-of-three sued Prince Andrew in 2021, claiming she was trafficked and forced to have sex with the Duke on three occasions when she was a teen.
It was the first time she had brought action against him after going public with the allegations in 2011.
She claimed she was trafficked and forced to have sex with the Andrew for the first time at Maxwell’s house in London after a night out at the club Tramp.
Virginia also claimed she was forced to have sex with the Duke on at least two further occasions by Maxwell and Epstein.
She claimed she feared for her life when she was allegedly forced to have sex with Andrew, who is accused of having been aware of her age and status as a “sex-trafficking victim”.
The Duke has ignored repeated calls to tell US authorities what he knows about paedo Epstein’s criminal behaviour.
In his notorious Newsnight interview five years ago, Andrew vowed to help the probe into Epstein and his warped madam Maxwell.
But the royal has remained silent – and claimed he knew nothing of Epstein’s vile crimes despite their friendship.
Andrew has denied any wrongdoing and has denied allegations made against him.
Virginia was tragically found unresponsive at her remote farmhouse in April this year after taking her own life.
This comes as Maxwell also claimed in the transcripts Donald Trump “was never inappropriate with anybody” while pals with Jeffrey Epstein.
The transcripts were made public as the Trump administration continues to battle speculation surrounding the late disgraced financier.
The administration faced backlash in February when right-wing influencers were invited to the White House and provided by Bondi with binders marked “The Epstein Files: Phase 1” and “Declassified”.
But the dossiers contained information that was already largely made public.
Then Bondi claimed officials were trawling through a “truckload” of previously withheld evidence.
However, the Justice Department said last month that no “further disclosure would be appropriate or warranted” and “only a fraction” of it would have been released had the case gone to trial, in order to protect victims.
Epstein was found dead in his Manhattan jail cell on August 10, 2019.
Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence after being found guilty of child sex trafficking and other crimes.
After her interview, for undisclosed reasons, the prisoner was moved from the low-security federal prison in Florida to a minimum security prison camp in Texas.
