I’ve been branded a paedophile because my girlfriend looks like a 13-year-old boy – she’s actually 2 years older than me!

A woman in a same-sex relationship has hit back against trolls who have accused her of dating her ‘little brother’.

Millie Smith, 21, from the Midlands, has received a torrent of abuse after sharing videos with her partner, Chelsea, 23, on TikTok.

Trolls have said that Chelsea looks like a ’13-year-old boy’ and is often mistaken for Millie’s little brother or son – despite being two years older than her.

The couple have been together for more than a decade, with their romance blossoming when they were teenagers.

Since then, they have even attempted to become parents themselves and told followers that they have been through 12 unsuccessful rounds of IVF.

The pair, who have 14,000 followers on TikTok, regularly receive comments asking in Millie was a teenage mother due to Chelsea’s youthful appearance.

While Millie is 5ft6, Chelsea is five inches shorter at 5ft1, and has more youthful features, leading to an outpouring of shocked comments online.

In a video of Millie dancing alongside her ‘baby faced’ partner, she captioned one video: ‘Awaiting the little brother comments…’

Speaking about how the trolling effects them, Millie said: ‘It’s disgraceful as Chelsea is older than me.

‘Other comments call her my son, or nephew, or brother.

‘We understand the comments about the age difference – we personally think it’s just about Chelsea’s height.

‘But viewers read more into it and say her features are young. People say to check my hard drive, insinuating I’m attracted to children!’

The couple, who are both support workers and have been together for nine years, say the comments have affected how they interact with one another when they are out and about.

Millie said: ‘We’ve been made to feel we can’t act like a couple in public.

‘If people saw me holding hands with my ‘son’, we would get funny looks.

‘We’ve accepted it now and just accept the fact that we may not always [be able to] act like we are in a relationship.’

But the pair aren't bothered by other's opinions, and are seen lovingly embracing each other in social media clips

One commenter wrote: ‘There’s absolutely no way he is 21! I thought he is your brother,’ one wrote.

A second wrote: ‘Its obviously sister and little brother- not Mum and son!’

Another commented: ‘She’s 21 and he’s clearly a child. I think with deductive reasoning that’s the little brother.’

The couple recently shared moments from their holiday in Dubai, which proved controversial with followers who asked why they visited a country where homosexuality is banned.

Answering viewer’s queries, Millie said: ‘When do you go to any country and say whether you’re gay or straight? You don’t do it.

‘No one knows who you are or what you are,’ she said.

Despite concerns from others, the pair went ahead with their holiday, concluding that fears over their safety were ‘exaggerated’ and it felt ‘like being in Spain’.

‘We have had the best experience, and this is our experience and our opinions; other people may have different opinions, but if you have never been, you can not judge!’ she said.

Though not everyone was negative of the relationship. One supportive commenter said: ‘Both female. I think married . Some people look younger. Doesn’t mean they are. Leave them be.’

Another wrote: ‘The comments on here are just WOW! They are a very cute couple. GIRL – GIRL an have been together for years. Lol Be well both of you cause you both are awesome.’

It comes after another same-sex couple found themselves similarly at the heart of vicious trolling after keyboard warriors said they looked like mother and son.

Lauren Evens, 31, and her wife, Hannah, 29, were viciously trolled when they announced their marriage on social media last year – with people branding the mother-to-be a ‘paedophile’ because of her partner’s youthful looks

‘People think I married a schoolboy and am having his children. They are ridiculous and uneducated,’ Lauren, who also has also has a 10-year-old son and a nine-year-old daughter from a previous relationship, told the US Sun.

‘I know the abuse will only get worse now that I’m pregnant,’ she said.

The Surrey-based newlyweds always knew they wanted to start a family but were shocked when they found out that fertility treatment would cost £21,000 in the UK.

So, they decided to undergo the procedure abroad but had to tie the knot first so that Hannah, a specialist engineer, wouldn’t have to adopt her own baby.

The couple planned their wedding in just six weeks and got married in August 2024 before jetting off to Cyprus the following month for the treatment that set them back by £9,000.

Lauren had Hannah’s fertilised eggs implanted in her womb and found out she was pregnant three days later. The pair were shocked to discover they were expecting triplet girls.
