Shirtless Man United legend Paul Scholes offers blunt response to daughter wearing an Arsenal shirt – in new candid video years on from his toe-biting antics

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes did not take kindly to his daughter’s interruption when viewing the Red Devils’ season opener against Arsenal

The heavyweight clash and pick of the opening weekend’s fixtures, was the first chance for United fans to see their revamped squad after a summer of big spending.

Scholes was among the legion of supporters who tuned into the action from Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon. But at least some of the 50-year-old’s joy was stolen by the sight of his daughter wearing an Arsenal jersey.

Alicia, 24, filmed her father’s reaction as she wandered into the lounge in the opening minutes of the game. The hilarious social media clip shows the former midfielder bluntly telling his daughter to ‘take it off’.

She in turn replied with a swift: ‘No’.

Alicia is one of three children the United legend shares with his wife Claire Froggatt. They also share sons Arron, 25, and Aiden, 20.

Alicia, who plays for London Pulse in the Netball Super League and represents England at international level, is in a relationship with Love Island star Ayo Odukoya.

The reality personality, 26, confirmed his relationship with Scholes’ only daughter in July. The two have since shared several glimpses of each other on social media.

Ayo was rumoured to be appearing on the next series of Love Island: All Stars, but it seems his plans have now changed as he is settled with Alicia.

Ayo split from his show girlfriend Jess Spencer shortly after series 11 ended in 2024.

He was rumoured to have moved on with Alicia after eagled-eyes fans noticed her soft launching him on Instagram.

Alicia shared a series of snaps, including one showing the back of a man’s head, and another of her holding hands with someone wearing a black hoodie.

Fans were quick to point out that Ayo owns an identical hoodie, seen on his social media account, and that the man’s distinct goatee resembles Ayo’s.

Alicia, who boasts 100k followers on Instagram, also works as an influencer.

It’s not the first time her interactions with her father have gathered attention online. Dad Paul was mocked on social media when she filmed him chewing her toenails in 2021.

Alicia, 20, posted the video to her 65,600 followers on Instagram on Saturday.

She commented that the video showed ‘true love’, although social media users quickly labelled it ‘gross’.

The clip only lasted a few seconds but showed football star Scholes, 46, giving his daughter a foot massage as he bit her toenails.
