When it comes to fashion, preloved clothes and accessories have become one of the most enduring trends.

Everyone is familiar with resale platforms such as Vinted and Depop, but what fewer people know is that it’s now possible to cut out the middle man and go straight to the brands themselves.

Wyse London and Victoria Beckham are the latest names to embrace the preloved boom, reselling their own labels at huge discounts.

Here’s my pick of the most covetable brands to go to snap up second-hand style at a snip of the original prices…

Victoria Beckham

New to the block, Victoria Beckham has launched ‘The Re-Loved Archive’ where you can sell preloved pieces from the designer and buy for as much as 70 per cent off

Sellers will receive credit to spend and if you’re buying, you have the reassurance of knowing your item has been quality checked and authenticated – and it’s not just the less desirable stuff available either.

You’ll find designs straight off the catwalk, like this pink frill dress from her SS23 collection that’s selling for £567, (originally priced at £1,890).

Or look like the lady herself in these single pleat orange trousers down to £248 from £550, a firm favourite with Victoria.

Mulberry

Like most people I’ve dreamed of owning an iconic Mulberry bag, but the prices have always put them out of reach – until now!

Famous for their Bayswater tote and the Alexa, inspired by model and TV presenter Alexa Chung, the brand run their own Mulberry Exchange programme offering vintage pieces at significant reductions.

New Alexas sell for £1,195, but you can snap up a vintage one for around £700. The platform is packed with bags in sumptuous chestnut and yellow hues that are perfect for autumn.

Better still – in my opinion – a Mulberry bags look better when they’re a bit broken in and battered!

Wyse

The company that launched ten years ago with just a handful of knitted jumpers has now earned a reputation as one of the best quality brands for women of any age, but especially midlifers.

Founder Marielle Wyse, 53, is the driving force and often to be found modelling their collections on the label’s social media accounts.

Last month they launched an official preloved buying and selling marketplace. Shoppers can make a bid on items and chat directly to sellers with any questions, all part of Wyse’s mission to build a community around their brand.

Among some of the older styles you’ll also find up-to-the-minute items still being sold on the main website, like this floaty, feminine Fabienne dress (RRP £295) a style favoured by Amanda Holden from as little as £78.38.

There are jeans to flatter every figure too from £55 and, if you get in quick, you can bag chic autumn trenches and winter coats at huge discounts.

Baukjen

London-based brand Baukjen has always been trailblazers in the world of sustainable fashion, so it’s no surprise that they were one of the first to launch an own-label pre loved scheme.

Savvy, stylish shoppers have been able to rejuvenate their wardrobes with Baukjen pieces since 2019.

Known for their tailoring, this is the place to shop if your work wear needs a little refreshing.

You’ll look the absolute business in this recycled blazer which originally retailed at £249, but you can get second-hand for only £87, perfect for the office or teamed with denims for a dressed down weekend look.

Rixo

Since launching a decade ago, Rixo’s floral frocks and vintage inspired designs have become a firm favourite with the fashion crowd, with fans including Poppy Delevingne and Olivia Rodrigo.

At the higher price end of the High Street, it’s now possible to shop their trademark styles at bargain prices. Head to the World of Rixo tab on their website, enter your email address and you’ll unlock a world of preloved goodies and some never worn items too.

Prices start from as low as £24 for a floral blouse, while this floral dress (RRP £295 but available for £192) will see you through to autumn.
