I LOVE Jack Grealish’s move to Everton.
In any team, you always need that wildcard in and around a good structure and he can be that guy for David Moyes.
It’s perfect for Jack – he will be given time and space to express himself.
At Manchester City under Pep Guardiola, he was limited by the expectation to pass first instead of looking for the space and attacking it without any shackles.
It will take a bit of time to get that back because Pep does well to coach that out of you.
But Moyes is incredible at unleashing these players. He may be a defensively-minded manager, but he has a history of having these gems within the solid base.
Think of Steven Pienaar at Everton, or Lucas Paqueta at West Ham.
Jack has taken a lot of unfair stick recently, and I cannot believe he is being criticised after the role he played for City winning the Treble – just look at his trophy cabinet.
People think of that iconic, shirtless, outstretched picture on the team bus celebrating the Treble and how it went downhill from there, but that’s nonsense.
And people don’t like to hear it, but when it is a World Cup year, players bring it more than they normally would.

Jack has given himself a great chance of winning back his England spot in a team that I don’t think will be fighting relegation like previous years.
And given he will be playing in a brand new stadium, he has a chance to make history and new memories and become a real Everton hero.
