RAPPER Sean Kingston has been sentenced to three and a half years in prison after he was found guilty in a $1 million fraud case.
Kingston, 35, and his mom were convicted of ripping off car dealerships, jewelers, and a mattress company in a massive wire fraud scheme.
On Friday, Kingston, real name Kisean Paul Anderson, was sentenced to three years in prison in addition to three years of supervised release in southern Florida.
It comes after his mom, Janice Elanor Turner, was sentenced to five years in prison last month.
Kingston and Turner were each found guilty in May of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and four counts of wire fraud in a court sentencing where the rapper broke down in tears.
In addition to prison time, he was also sentenced to three years of supervised release.
Kingston, whose legal name is Kisean Paul Anderson, and his mother, Janice Eleanor Turner, were each convicted by a federal jury in March of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and four counts of wire fraud. U.S. Judge David Leibowitz sentenced Turner last month to five years in prison.
