A BUSINESS owner has shared how she rakes in cash doing a job you don’t need qualifications for.
Libby Denney, a professional grime-buster based in York, UK, began cleaning people’s homes 13 years ago.

Back then, she got paid £10 an hour, but now, the 29-year-old charges a flat fee of £800 to work her magic.
Since Libby started her business, The Clean Up Company, she has scrubbed 2,000 houses and revealed that some can take up to five days to finish.
Posting on social media, the extreme cleaner, who does a job many mean trolls have called ‘degrading’, got candid on how much she charges.
The content creator, who has seen all sorts from mountains of rubbish to bottles full of wee, first got into the industry when she started going along to jobs in 2010 with her dad, who worked as a waste remover.

Now, Libby, who earns £7,000 a week by transforming “filthy hoarder homes” into spotless spaces, explained: “This is the reason why I charge a minimum of £800 per clean – this is for a deep clean and this is now my flat rate.”
As she filmed herself blitzing a property, she continued: “Not only have we got the cost of living, we’ve also got the quality of work and the years of experience – a deep clean can take me anywhere between two to four days and everything gets pulled out, every appliance gets cleaned, behind every appliance, every cupboard, the tops of the kitchen cupboards, underneath kick boards, window frames, inside of window frames, inside and outside of radiators.”
Libby claimed that paying for her £800 service would give your home “a full reset.”
Not only does she use a variety of products, some of which are from her own cleaning range, but she even uses paint brushes, toothbrushes and steamers to get homes sparkling.
The influencer also claimed that cleaners should “know your worth” about how much to charge, which she recognised can be “quite a controversial topic.”
Following this, Libby added: “There’s been times when I’ve quoted jobs and I get to a job and I realise I’ve massively under quoted, it’s an absolute nightmare and I have been there many times – getting your pricing right as a cleaner is so important now.
“I would never, ever, ever work off an hourly basis – I used to when I first started, I started off on £10 per hour, this was back in 2012.
“It took me years to learn the right products for the right job, so if you’re new to cleaning, please be easy on yourself – it’s not easy, it’s hard work.

White vinegar is a handy secret weapon when it comes to keeping mirrors and windows streak-free. Mix one part white vinegar with four parts water in a spray bottle. Squirt then wipe with a microfibre cloth and voilà, clean glass in an instant.
Make your home smell amazing
For dust-free skirting boards, pour some fabric softener onto a cloth and give them a quick wipe. It will stop dirt collecting so quickly and, as an added bonus, make your home smell amazing.

Libby’s TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @thecleanupcompany, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 86,700 views and 2,958 likes.
While many thought Libby’s £800 charge was “worth it,” many other cleaners eagerly flocked to the comments to share how much they charge for a deep clean.
One person said: “We charge anything from £200+ for deep cleans.”
Another added: “We charge £100 for a deep clean but it’s no we’re near as in-depth as yours! I’d love to do it your way but worry people just wouldn’t pay it.”

A third commented: “We charge a rate depending on property size and workload. £200-£600 usually.”
At the same time, one professional cleaner wrote: “I’m a cleaner and to all people who say that it’s too much, just a reminder that cleaning service is a luxury service! It’s not for everyone.”
Another chimed in: “For that level of clean I think it’s worth it!”
Meanwhile, someone else penned: “£800 for everything? Worth it. If I had that kind of money to spend on cleaning I would. It’s hard work.”
