‘As good as the real thing’ says shoppers as dupe of Estée Lauder anti-ageing serum slashed to £26

BOOTS shoppers have been racing to pick up a dupe of an iconic Estée Lauder serum that’s been slashed in the sale.

The L’Oreal skincare buy is reduced to £26.35, and beauty fans are claiming it’s a dead-ringer for the £65 luxury version.

L’Oreal’s Midnight Serum is a dupe of the cult Advanced Night Repair

L’Oreal Midnight Serum, £26.25 (was £35)

L’Oreal’s Midnight Serum works to plump and hydrate the skin, supporting the natural renewal process.

It has a non-sticky formula designed to smooth wrinkles, and the Boots website states that it’s suitable for all skin types.

The luxe-looking packaging is strikingly similar to its high-end lookalike, and the formula has the same gold sheen.

Estée Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair is my holy grail skincare product, but the steep £65 price tag is the one thing I don’t love.

While I haven’t tried the affordable dupe for myself, a long list of online shoppers have been comparing the the L’Oreal beauty buy to the expensive version.

One reviewer wrote: Love this serum, it’s rich and luxurious, simply melts into the skin leaving it soft and silky smooth.”

Another added: “It’s working well for me, I was using the Estée Lauder serum which is three times the price, and since I switched I haven’t noticed any difference, so it’s just as good as the expensive brand.”

Not all beauty fans agree that the L’Oreal version lives up to the premium buy, though.

A shopper wrote: “This is a nice serum however, I disagree that it’s as good or better.

Saying that, it is in it’s own right, a pleasant serum and one to go for if unable to splash out on the big bucks. My skin is smoother since using it.”

Estée Lauder’s iconic serum has thousands of five-star ratings

Estée Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair, £54.95 (was £65)

Estée Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair has earned its cult status over the years, racking up thousands of glowing reviews online.

It has a silky formula that glides across the skin, providing deep hydration and a plump finish to the complexion.

Both serums come with a pipette for controlling how much product is used at once, while the appearance of the £65 version takes the edge with its luxurious gold branding.

Anti-ageing serums are great for skincare buffs of all ages, with active ingredients that work to nourish the skin while smoothing out lines.

Other retailers also stock some great dupes of beauty bestsellers, and I tried Superdrug’s £3.50 version of the viral Sol de Janeiro body mist.

The high-street fragrance closely resembles the brand’s Cheirosa 62′ in appearance and scent, and it’s £20 cheaper than the original.

Not all shoppers are convinced that L’Oreal’s Midnight Serum has the power to knock Estée Lauder’s cult favourite off its skincare throne, but with similar qualities for a fraction of the price, it’s a bargain worth considering.
