An aspiring dancer has been found dead in her home after suffering a suspected seizure hours after she was sent home from hospital.
Sydney woman Layla-Maria Grubb, 18, was found unresponsive last Saturday afternoon.
The ‘bright, kind and talented’ woman had been rushed to hospital earlier that morning after suffering a seizure, but was released hours later.
Her family isdemanding answers, claiming their daughter had never experienced any such medical episode before.
Ms Grubb had studied at dance company Village Nation, with its director Briden Starr describing her as a ‘healthy, positive, focused girl’.
‘We all want to know what happened; we are searching for answers,’ she told the Daily Telegraph.
Ms Grubb’s family have since launched a GoFundMe to ease the financial stress of their daughter’s death as they come to grips with the tragedy.
‘We are absolutely broken, there is nothing that can take this pain away. Life will never be the same,’ her mother Beth Ashton said.

Ms Ashton shared a tribute to her young daughter on Facebook following her death.
‘A gorgeous dancer, who moved through life with the same beauty and passion she brought to the stage,’ she wrote.
‘Her laughter, kindness, and beautiful spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
‘Though her time with us was far too short, her impact will remain in our hearts, forever 18.’
A NSW Health spokesman said it was not appropriate for the department to comment on Ms Grubb’s death at this time.
‘The South Eastern Sydney Local Health District extends its sincere condolences to the family for their tragic loss,’ he said.
Her death has now been referred to the NSW Coroner.
Ms Grubb’s family from Western Australia rushed to Sydney after hearing the tragic news and Ms Starr has said she will help with any funeral arrangements.

Ms Grubb moved from Western Australia as a young child to study dancing full time in Sydney.
A funeral service will be held in Sydney and live-streamed at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre in Western Australia where she previously performed.
The family friend who organised the fundraiser, Ashleigh O’Reilly, said Ms Grubb was ‘pure light’ and that all donations would go towards her funeral.
‘Our hearts are shattered with the devastating news of Layla’s passing,’ Ms O’Reilly wrote.
‘Layla was the funniest, goofiest, most vibrant girl you could ever meet, lighting up every room with her laughter and fun.
‘No one plans for the unthinkable loss of a child.’
