Glamorous racegoers braved the UK’s scorching temperatures at Ascot‘s Racing to Zero Summer Mile Family Raceday today.
Britons descended on the Berkshire racecourse this afternoon in temperatures reaching as high as 30C.
The sweltering weather didn’t stop people from pulling out all the sartorial stops, and many dressed to the nines in summery floral ensembles.
Elegant sundresses, lavish headpieces and billowing dresses were all on display as hundreds of revellers stepped out for a day of equestrian fun in the British sunshine.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, bright colours were at the centre of many outfits, with people arriving in vibrant shades of red, orange, and blue.
Racing to Zero Summer Mile Family Raceday offers plenty of entertainment for little ones, with face painters, balloon modellers, and roaming entertainers.
There’s also an environmental focus to the festivities, with information available on the Racing to Zero strategy to reduce the environmental impact of Ascot’s events.
At the same time, one of the most significant mile races of the season takes place today, according to the Ascot website.
