‘Connecting with other people who are going through a similar time and being able to support each other.’

Jessie went on to share a list of ‘cons’ writing that ‘these are very honest/some are silly.’

She began with an emotional comment about parenting, admitting she was missing ‘not being able to be the mum I’m used to being and not picking sky up or the person I’m used to being tbh. I don’t sit down ever. lol.

She added: ‘The fear of not knowing if the cancer is all gone – the mental with this is [face in clouds emoji.’

She ended the post with a list of physical issues, as she wrote: ‘The pain and discomfort is ok and expected but a d**khead when I’m trying to sleep. Sneezing is a myth – that hirts. Not pooing from the anaesthetic and the painkillers I just wanna pooooooo.’

She later added a follow-up post about her discomfort, telling fans: ‘Since my surgery I have only been on paracetamol and ibuprofen because my blood pressure is too low for anything stronger and even they have got be backed up like N old chimney.’

‘I have had laxatives, a good fresh diet, prunes, juices and your girl is 20% leg and 80% [poo emoji]. Any suggestions welcomed.’

The singer, 37, shared an ‘honest’ account of her breast cancer treatment on Instagram on Monday following her surgery.

Jessie posted selfies from her hospital bed showing her chest bandaged up, as well as a tearful video after coming round from the anaesthetic, seemingly filmed by her partner Chanan Safir Colman.

She could be seen speaking to Chanan quietly about how she was thinking about saying ‘I love you’ to their two-year-old son Sky.

The clip showed the star in recovery, groggily telling her boyfriend: ‘I was imagining Sky saying “I love you mummy” and I was saying “I love you, I love you back”.’

Chanan was also seen sweetly kissing her as she prepared to be wheeled down to surgery, whilst other clips showed Jessie’s delight when her young son Sky, two, was allowed to visit.

She showed the realities of surgery, sharing a look at her surgical drain, which helps with fluid build up whilst in one video she sang to herself whilst she waited to go into surgery, singing: ‘I’ve now been at the hospital for six and a half hours.’

Earlier this month Jessie choked back tears and vowed she would ‘beat’ breast cancer on stage at Capital’s Summertime Ball with Barclaycard at Wembley Stadium.

The singer thanked the 75,000 strong crowd for their support as she opened up about her illness.

Jessie said: ‘Today, this show is my last show before I go to beat breast cancer!’.

As the audience cheered she continued: ‘So it’s so special to me you have no idea. I feel so special to be from the UK, to be an honest person and say how you feel.

‘This is my last show before go treatment and all the things It’s the most special thing and I’m so grateful for this life, for you guys, for my career, to my, my son. My partner, my parents’.

My family, my band, my crew. We are so lucky, we have so much to live for, so much joy, so much, so many things to do’.
