TUI travel agent Brinder Kaur has been helping Brits with their holidays for 25 years – and reveals the one you should book next.
Forget Spain and Greece, Brinder says Austria is the place to go, it has beautiful mountain surroundings, blue lakes and high summer temperatures.
Brinder explained: “The stunning destination boasts temperatures of around 30 degrees during summer, dozens of pristine lakes perfect to cool off in and the best part is that it’ll only set you back a few hundred pounds for a week holiday.
“Austria is so stunning and peaceful, it’s often overlooked as people are drawn to more popular European destinations.
“But my advice is that if you are looking for something different to Spain or Greece this summer, Austria is the perfect holiday destination for relaxation on a budget”.
You might think that Austria is more expensive, but on average, a glass of wine or beer costs around 5 euros.

Brinder added that you can’t beat the scenic views with mountains, lakes and small beautiful villages.
She continued: “Austria is a popular winter sports destination, so I think a lot of people often overlook it for a summer break.
“But it’s really got the perfect combo of amazing temperatures, stunning lakes to swim in and breathtaking scenery”.
Austria is considered a winter break destination because of the amount of ski resorts – of which there are over 400.
But in the summer months, Austria can be just as hot as its surrounding European countries.
And it doesn’t take much time to get there either, flights from the UK take just two hours and 15 minutes.
While skiing is a popular pastime in Austria during mid-December to late April, you won’t miss out on seeing the Alps later in the year.
The snow melts during the summer months and you can actually hike up the green mountains on various trails.

The lake is ideal for swimming and has a diving platform and a beach volleyball court.
Austria is a landlocked country so there aren’t any beaches, but there are numerous swimming lakes, with some ranking among the cleanest in Europe.
Popular choices include Lake Wolfgangsee and for warmer waters, Lake Klopein in Carinthia is a great option as temperatures reach up to 29C.
