I played in Fabulous Bingo’s newly revamped session and pattern rooms

PLAY games of session bingo and pattern bingo in the dedicated Fabulous Bingo rooms. 

In the final Brew, Biccy, Bingo that explores Fabulous Bingo’s recently updated online rooms, I took a look at the Session and Pattern rooms.

These are the dedicated homes of session and pattern bingo, unsurprisingly. 

I played on a Wednesday morning between 10am and 12:16pm, with my usual budget of £10. 

Before now, I haven’t had the chance to play in these rooms so I was excited to see how the ticket bundles and unique bingo patterns would work.

Brew 

The brew for this session is a little underwhelming. I needed some caffeine so had an Americano in a plain white mug.

I am also disappointed in this choice. However, it did the job! 

Biccy 

Perhaps to make up for the uninspired brew, I went fancy with my accompanying biccy.

This edition’s helping was a Lu Le Petit Chocolat. It was a delight.

I particularly appreciated the suave gentleman with a nifty hat printed onto the chocolate topping.

I started in the Session Bingo room for this edition of Brew, Biccy, Bingo.

For the uninitiated such as myself, session bingo is a version of the beloved game where players purchase bundles of tickets, for multiple games, for one price.

The games then play out over the course of the session. Here at Sun Bingo, we host four sessions every day: Morning (10am-10:59am), Afternoon (3pm-3:59pm), Evening (7pm-8:30pm) and Twilight (11pm-11:59pm).

The bundles change in cost, depending on which of the four sessions that you choose to join.

For me, in the Morning session, I paid a grand total of £3 for access to 12 games, each with 12 tickets. The session had a pot of £400 up for grabs.

What’s great about this room is that after just one transaction, you can sit back and enjoy the games without having to think about buying more tickets.

It means that I felt more present during the session and was able to chat with fellow roomies, who are a lovely, friendly group that really give Sun Bingo a sense of community.

While playing, I also got the chance to join the chat room games Elemental and The Tickleiser.

HAVE A ROYALLY GOOD TIME PLAYING THESE GAMES

These play out for eligible players in between games. The first, Elemental, is for players who have wagered at least £2 in the past seven days. It’s a pop-up game where players must match identical symbols to form chains of three. You see how many chains you can form before the timer stops. Afterwards, the highest scoring player gets a bingo bonus!

Unfortunately, it wasn’t my winning day but I did get a PB so I’m going to count that. 

The other chat game was The Tickleiser, where I got to meet a certain, iconic, blue spotted, three-eyed alien. As the name suggests, he’s tickled by two feathers until the point of hysteria. When he finally catches his breath, he screams “Stop” and calls out a player’s chatname. That player must let the host know that they’re present. If they do, they win a £1 bingo bonus. Failure to reply in three calls and the Tickleiser starts again. To be eligible for the bonus, you must have wagered at least £2 in the past seven days.

The second room that I checked out was Pattern Bingo.

In these games, there are still three base prizes but rather than the traditional 1L, 2L and full house, there’s a Sub Pattern, Pattern and Coverall.

The first is a reduced form of the game’s pattern, the next is the complete pattern and Coverall is the same as a full house.

The patterns for my three games were frame (all of the outside numbers), layer cake (top, middle and bottom row) and dollar (an impressive attempt at forming the US dollar symbol).

These played out at 12:05pm, 12:10:30pm and 12:16pm. 

I’d describe this session as so-close-yet-so-far as I was 1TG for two of the full house prizes!

Had we been able to get the full house triggered in 48 calls, there’d have been a progressive jackpot of over £1660 split between the full house winner and the community.

Although I didn’t get to experience any of the base prizes, I did get a free scratchcard.

I qualified for this by spending £3 on bingo in one day. Inspired by the sunny weather that’s starting to come in, I selected the Fun in the Sun option and won 10p!

As well as that, I also qualified for the Sunday session in the Having a Ball Room so time will tell if I might have a bit more luck there…
