Although starting with 100 contestants, these are whittled down until only the brightest remain for the final round.

However, a tricky 50% question left quite a large number of hopefuls stumped.

Lee asked the contestants: “How many of these dancers have their left leg in the air?”

Meanwhile, the screen featured a grid showing eight images of ballet dancers.

NO CLUE

The 1% Club host ‘wasn’t expecting that’ as players lose jackpot – did you know it?

After time was up, Lee was gobsmacked to discover a whopping 22 people had been knocked out.

He quipped: “Wow, that is a massacre. We’ve lost 22 people.

“Were you lot listening when I said you had a pass?”

Ultimately, the right answer was four dancers – with Lee later pointing out the pictures.

It comes as viewers playing along were recently left stumped by an ultra tricky question.

The question read: “If you are careful to dot all the small Is and cross all the small Ts, how many crosses on the small Ts and dots on the small Is are there in this particular sentence?”

Would you have worked it out?

The contestants were stumped with answers varying 9 to 14.

Lee revealed that the correct answer was in fact 14.

Only one out of the five final contestants got it right.

Elsewhere, a different episode saw three players make it to the 1% question and battled it out to bag a piece of the £93,000 prize pot.

All three players decided to tackle the final question instead of walking away with a smaller amount of money.

Viewers were left questioning the difficulty level of the final brain-boggler claiming it was too simple.

The teaser read: “Look at the image below. Beginning at the START each time, LLL=A and RRR = H.

“What word is represented by the following LLR, LLL, LRR, RRL, RRL.”

Over on X, one viewer stated: “That was the easiest 1% question ever!”

A second agreed: “I think the 1% question was easier than the 5% question tonight.”

However, not all viewers were so confident.
